Garden Cove Produce
Many folks local to Huntsville, Alabama remember Garden Cove Produce. Long before there was a Fresh Market, EarthFare, Whole Foods, or Sprouts, there was the local health and produce store at the corner of Meridian and Pratt. Closed on Saturdays, it was always a refreshing visit to see a different variety of items from a typical supermarket. Sadly, they closed several years ago.
Garden Cove was also a well-decorated store, with several public artworks around the exterior.
Downtown Public Art – Part One
Recently I took a tour of Downtown Huntsville with the purpose of finding as much public art works as I could. Some of it is well-known, some more obscure. Here is part one of what I came up with.

Valles Marineris, by Drop Metal. This is on Clinton Avenue in an alley between Jefferson Street and Spragins Street.
